The What Where When of Living in San Antonio

Organically Bath and Beauty

One way to cure these rainy day blues is to TREAT YOURSELF! A great place to do this and support a San Antonio business is to head over to Organically Bath and Beauty in the Shops on Broadway (4411 Broadway).

This soothing spot is owned by Kevin and Kela. They started their organic line when one of their four children was suffering from eczema as a child. They created an oatmeal soap that helped her with her symptoms and knew there were many others who could benefit from a natural, organic product. As their hard work and dedication to organic care caught on at local farmers markets, they needed more space and opened their own brick and mortar on Broadway.

This is co-owner, Kevan. Not pictured is Kela because she was out creating inventory.

You can’t get much fresher or organic than these products. They create inventory every day. When I was there a week ago, Kela was not in the shop because she was making new products to replace those that had sold out that morning.

Here’s what I bought:

The Detox Exfoliating Facial Wash for my teen daughter. Some of its ingredients include tea tree oil, activated charcoal and frankincense essential oil

Mint Lip Scrub with an organic sugar base and the most delicious essential oils. I got several of these for gifts. Love them.

Whipped Body Mousse in Jazzy Scent. I got this for myself and I actually have to hide it every morning because both my daughters try to steal it. Every. Day. We are all addicted to the way it smells and the silky (SILKY, I tell you!) way our skin feels when we use it. I may never need another product for as long as I live. I think the ingredients include shea butter and magic.

I’m looking at the Organically Bath and Beauty website and they offer subscriptions, shipping, classes, private events… I am on board.  This will definitely be a go to for my holiday shopping and more importantly, my self care.
